The Tampa Bay Christmas invitational began as the Crusaders Christmas Tournament with only 8 teams. Joe Cooper, the founder and tournament director, quickly realized the potential of girls basketball in the region and felt this tournament could highlight some of the top teams in the area. A few years ago, the tournament grew substantially to thirty-two teams with some of the nation’s top talent represented. This year, the Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational will feature over 200 teams from over twenty states, Puerto Rico, as well as, and the Bahamas. We are excited about our continued growth and look forward to more future expansion.
